What is Network Marketing?

Every time na may kausap ako na close friends ko or mga relatives ko pag tinatanung nila ako "adrian san ka connected ngayon? " and tuwing sasabihin ko na i'm into Network Marketing business :) 

Ang common na naririnig ko ay ganito "totoo ba talaga yan? ", "hindi ba nkakatakot mag venture dyan?","Hindi ba Risky yan?", kaya nagpasya ako gumawa ng article na to regarding sa mga question nila saken :) and Right now you’re reading this article maybe you are already in this kind of industry or you want to join in this industry and you want to know more information about Network Marketing,

All of the information that i will share, eto yung mga information na natutunan ko sa aking mga mentors and also sa mga experience ko when I start doing this

Disclaimer: this is only my own personal experience and I’m not saying that I’m already an expert in Network Marketing kase until now i'm still learning :), I just only want to share all my learning since I started this industry and I’ll explain this in simplest form, First watch the Video below to know more what is Network Marketing.

Kung si Nora Aunor ang twag sa mga Fans club nya ay “NORANIAN” and kung kay Vilma Santos ay“VILAMANIAN”, kung sa Network Marketing naman masasabi ko ang sarili ko ay isang “NETWORKIAN”hahaha.

                                     

Imbento ko lang yang term na yan wala kasi ako maisip na term sa mga taong may matinding BELIEF sa ganito industry.

This kind of industry first introduce to me since year 2011 and napakalaking paradigm talaga saken nung naintidihan ko to because  I want to be a young entrepreneur and isa sa malaki problema ko is capital and experience  so nung nakita ko sya sobra laki opportunity at blessing talaga saken na may nag introduce saken ng network marketing, but first I want to be honest nung una perception ko sa ganito industry medyo negative kasi sa dami ba naman ng mga nagusulputang mga scam dyan sa mga balita so akala ko nuon ang network marketing ay pyramiding pero hindi pala I was misinform sa mga chismis :)   

In fact all the ingredient you need for you to become successful is on the Network marketing.

Network Marketing Vs. Pyramiding

First let me define the difference of two para mas lalo mo sya maintidihan.

Pyramiding Scheme

"Is an unsustainable business model that involves promising participant’s payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public."

Very clear sa definition pa lang unsustainable business model meaning to say walang system and ang common na sinsabi sa mga investor eh yung pera nila kikita ng malaki in just period of time, na wlang kahit anung product puro recruitment lang ang gagawin, so isa yun sa mga nkikita ko reason bakit ang dami nabibiktima ng mga scammer because gusto kase naten ay “INSTANT” na Profit :) ayaw paghihirapan gusto kumita kagad.

What is Network Marketing?

"The system of moving products from the factory, to the consumer, thru an organization of users, retailers and network builders. A word of mouth approach of selling directly to the consumer"

So sa definition pa lang it’s very clear that it has a system and products which is very important sa isang negosyo, and this is a marketing strategy of moving the product to the consumer because it is the fastest way. In fact halos lahat na ng organization eh gumagamit ng networking strategy.

like Facebook, twitter, YouTube it’s a social networking, sa bank merong bank net and mega link it’s a networking of banks, sa t.v naman merong GMA 7 NETWORK, ABS CBN NETWORK it’s a networking :), pati nga sa kanta diba, “walang sinu man ang nabubuhay para sa sarili lamang” hahaha, is networking, its connecting to people.

There is a large amount of debate as to when multi-level marketing started; some say it started in the 1920s^,1930s with Nutrilite or California Perfume Company renamed as “Avon Products^”, 1940s with the California Vitamin Company, 1960s, and even as late as the 1970’s.

Napakatagal na pala talaga ng ganito industry hindi pa ako pinapanganak ng ganyang taon :), in fact isa sa naiisip ko nagsimula ng network marketing is Jesus Christ himself :), from the 12 apostles na pinili nya and 2000 years na ang nakakalipas from 12 members ngayon billions of billions of people are part of Christianity including me and you .

I’m so thankful sa mga tao nabigyan ng wisdom para buuin ng concept ng Network Marketing kasi nabigyan ng chance ang mga maliliit na tao na magkron ng Hope and opportunity to have a better life. 

Pumangit lang talaga ng naging perception ng tao sa Network Marketing because of those people na nag take advantage para lang sa pangsariling interest, kaya pati yung mga company na tlaga nagbibigay ng mgandang product and service nadadamay , if there is bad apple there is also a Good apple, 

Parang ganito kung sabihin ko ba sayo na lahat ng nasa government ay corrupt maniniwala kaba? Syempre hindi kasi meron din nmn talaga tapat sa tungkulin, siguro may tanung ka saken ngayon, 

"Sir Adrian I know some Network Marketing companies that are legitimate at maganda ang product pero nagsara naman?"

My answer is YES!! There are some company na nagsara and para saken hindi nman hilig sabihin nun eh hindi okey ang ganito industry, marami kasi factor ang pwde I consider, like na mismanage yung company, maari yung product eh mahina ang repeat purchase or hindi nagkasundo yung mga Owner for some selfish interest.

Para mas lalo mo maintidihan, ang jolibee sikat at malaki company yan no question tama? , pero meron kabang alam na may ngsarang Jolibee? , sagot ko dyan, aba oo naman! , anu reason? , maaring mali ang location at sobra dami na competitor sa lugar, maraming factor eh, pero it does mean na panget na ang Jolibee?  , syempre hindi dba, halos lahat ng bata ngayon gusto sa jolibee kumaen pati nga mga matatanda eh.

According to Josiah Go (entrepreneur/ marketing consultant) from his book “network marketing -distribution business”, there are some school that are teaching network marketing, university of Illinois at Chicago and the university of Houston in the U.s, in Asia the Asian  institute of management(AIM) would regularly include it as one of the topics in their 2 week marketing strategy course but the first known university in Asia that offered network marketing  is located in the Philippines the Ateneo de manila University and also in De la sale university.

May Pera ba talaga sa Network Marketing?

Like what I’ve said kanina, this is a marketing strategy through the Word of mouth right?, in the traditional business before makapunta sa consumer ang isang product dadaan pa yun sa maraming middleman like, distributor, wholesaler, retailer before the to the end user, 

kaya favorite consumer product na ginagamit mo ngayon kaya yan nagmahal because of that, pero kung tutuusin mas mura sya sa factory bakit ko alam? Nagwork kc ako as Medrep sa isang Pharmaceutical company at isama na ren naten ang mga artista na nag propromote ng product sa mga commercials and they pay million for this.

In Network Marketing the company can give big commission because there are no advertisements like (newspaper, TV commercial, billboards, in radio, and paying an artist for a commercial), wla na ren mga middleman, from the manufacturer diretso na kagad sa mga distributor ng company :), so imbes na ibayad sa mga advertisments and middleman, sa mga distributor na direct napupunta ang kita, kaya kayang mag bigay ng malaking commison ang isang Company.

Is there Saturation in this Industry?

Share ko sa inyo yung isang article na nabasa ako about saturation :)

Many people who get involved with Network Marketing have one big concern – it’s called saturation.

The concern is that eventually everyone will join a Network Marketing company and because of this there will no longer be a market for it anymore. Once there are too many people in a company, it will be practically impossible to get new down-lines yourself purely and simply because there will be too much competition.

Well if you take a totally blinkered view of things then yes you could come to this conclusion. However, you have to look at this in a realistic fashion just consider these three points:-

The world’s population is constantly recycling.

There may be some truth about market saturation from a mathematical perspective, but only if the population was static! We live in a growing population and naturally we all get older.

So putting things into perspective, there will ALWAYS be people reaching 18 (obviously the legal to join a Network Marketing opportunity). People will indeed grow old but before that happens most of them will have children and so this will create a constant source of potential prospects. Meaning that there will always be new people who are ready to join your network marketing business every day of every year.

There will always be people looking for new opportunities.

There is a new consumer born every day. Just remember, your network marketing business is about offering people opportunities. Give people the right opportunity at the right time, they will take it! Look at the market out there. At the moment we are surrounded by an economic crisis on a global scale and this is driving people to look for new opportunities. But even when the markets are booming there will always be people who are unhappy with their work and they want a way out – if they can make money even better.

In other words, new people are wanting to join every day; looking for new opportunities and that is why you need to be prepared, in the right place at the right time with the right opportunity.

There will always be people looking for leadership

In a world as short sighted as this, leadership is always in demand. But bear in mind, network marketing is not a pyramid scheme because the down-line can ALWAYS surpass his or her up-line anytime if he or she works hard enough. The strong leaders will attract others and there business will grow accordingly.

In your network marketing company, you will need to be able to position yourself as a trainer or a mentor to someone else. The more people you train, the stronger a leader you will become. People will always look up to a leader with ample strength and when you are ‘strong’ enough, you will even attract network marketing reps from other companies to come and join you.

So the issue of Network Marketing Saturation is only a concern to those who are not prepared to look around them and take advantage of the many opportunities that exist for attracting people into their team.

Why Network Marketing is best to start your Entrepreneurial Career?

We all know there are 3 usual ways to start a business:

First is the Traditional Business, in this kind of business hindi lahat ng tao kaya mag start  dito kasi it will need big capitals and if you’re starting as an entrepreneur very risky why?, because in the first 6 months when you start operating your business usually puro palabas pa ang cashflow mo, like paying your employee, paying your overhead expenses( electric bill, rent, etc) and also you will also invest in your marketing, so napakalaki Fund talaga ang kelangan mo and you must survive in competing those giant company out there.

Second alternative does not need big capital; you can operate a small mom and pop store a.k.a Sari-sari storeor warung in Indonesia. This set up might do the job for you but the hours are long and the market is limited only to your neighborhood, also, you will literally become a “prisoner” of your store every day because such a business is meant to be a one man, so kung wla magbabantay walang kita, and some of your neighbor utangin pa yung bibilhin kahit isang piraso sigarilyo lang.

The third option is join in a Network Marketing company as a distributor, the great thing about this industry you can start with very low capital, and you don’t have to worry if you don’t have any experience in business but you must to learn necessary and effective skills to market your product. There are no barriers to entry except your attitude, belief system and commitment level.

You must have a Right attitude in doing this business, ngayon pa lang ako na magsasabi sayo, HINDI TO MADALI, MAHIRAP TO! , syempre naman pagyaman kaya usapan dito at magandang buhay, eh yun nga lang kumita ng 20 thousand sa work mo mahirap dba?

Ako na magsasabi sayo Normal lang na pgdaanan mo yun, yun kase yung magiging kwento ng buhay mo eh nung nagsisimula ka to inspire your team and partners, kaya kelangan mo dito have a POSITIVE outlook in life, have a never say die attitude, and you will do whatever it takes papunta sa pangarap mo.

We also learn to be HUMBLE enough to learn new things because what work in the past can no longer work in the future, the world are changing so fast we must be flexible enough to change , that’s why we should have the right attitude how we perceive things and always say to yourself that you will never  give up because you have a big GOD that is on your back to guide you.

SKILLS

Meron muna ako gusto I share na Story, meron dalawang magtrotroso in the forest and they will do competition paramihan ng mapuputol na puno and kung sinu mananalo ang prize is 1 million.

So yung unang magtrotroso sobra naexcite iniisip nya na kagad yung mabibili nya sa 1 million sobra tlaga tong motivated, so nung nagsimula na sya talagang todo HATAW to the max, nung umpisa ang dame talaga nya napapabagsak na puno kasi sobra excited talaga sya makuha yung 1million.

yung mgatrotroso numer two naman ang hindi sya masyado nakafocus sa  1 million nakafocus sya paanu nya mas mapapabilis ang pagputol sa mga puno so ang ginawa ng magtrotroso number two tuwing meron sya napapabgsak na 10 puno humihinto sya at umuupo sa isang tabi, nakita sya nung magtrotroso number  1 sa isip isip nya “mauunahan nya ang magtrotroso number two kase nakuha pang magrelax at magpahinga samantlang sya sobra hataw at motivated sa pagputol ng mga puno”.

Lumipas ang mga oras yung magtrotroso number 1 hataw pa ren ng hataw sobra talga motivated pero napansin nya everytime na meron syang puputulin na isang puno parang ang tagal bago bumagsak at unti unti na sya napapagod at exhausted,

Pero yung mgatrotroso number two ganun pa ren everytime na merong sampu sya mapuputol hihinto sya at pupunta lang sa isang tabi , at nung natapos na ang competition ang naputol ng magtrotroso number 1 is 100 , at ang nkakagulat ang magtrotroso number 2 almost 500 na puno ang napabagsak almost 5x sa magtrotroso number 1 !! ,

Nagtaka yung magtrotroso number  1, kaya tinanung nya yung magtrotroso number two .

"Bro bakit ang dame mo napabagsak na puno almost 5x sa naging resulta ko, eh ang nakikita nga kita everytime na meron ka napapagsak na sampu humihinto ka lang sa isag tabi, panu nagyare yun?? ".

tumahimik sandali ang mgatrotroso two at ngumiti at eto ang sinabi nya..

"Ganito kase yan bro, hindi kase ako nakafocus masyado sa 1 million, ang inisip ko kc yung HOW kung alaamin ko kc ang how madali ko makukuha yung 1 million , nagisip ako ng paraan na mas mapapadali yung pagbagsak ng mga puno,nung nakikita mo ako na humihinto at umuupo sa isang tabi ang ginagawa ko dun hinahasa ko yung talim ng Axe ko para mas mapabilis ang pagbagsak ng mga puno :)”

What’s the moral lesson of the story, motivation is great! Knowing your big WHY which is your dreams is very great! , kasi yang yung Fuel mo para I push mo sarili papunta sa Goal mo eh.

Pero narealize ko na hindi sapat na Motivated ka lang pero dpat you must also know your HOW, the skills that you need to Equip yourself parang ganito lang yan eh.
